Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and she is a performer, actress, singer, and musician. She's most popularly recognized in her craft for her notable role in several top-rated TV shows and films, such as Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance. In her role as an actress, she's most remembered and praised by the incredible role she played in Xena. Lucy played the part originally intended to be played by Vanessa Angel. She was not able to make it for the shoot because of illness. Her portrayal as Xena proved to be so popular that she was able that a spin-off show was created which was launched in the month of September, 1995.
