Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child of Richard McCormick. She was raised by an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. From a young age, McCormick was a singer as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. At the age six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked if the actress would be interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick found her first role as an actress major in 1964. She starred in an advertisement for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately selected for her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the oldest daughter in the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The run of five years for The Brady Bunch was an enormous great success. McCormick wrote in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly lost her virginity during the fifth season to Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. The actress was just 16 years old, and the actor 19 at the at the time. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. However, the timing was not the right time.
